All 14 Collectibles in Halloween: The Game (Loomis Log Locations)
Every collectible in Halloween: The Game: 14 audio recordings with the room and furniture for each one, in the order you actually walk past them.

The one-minute version
There’s only one collectible type in this game: 14 audio recordings. They show up only in the single-player Michael’s Story, never in multiplayer, and they’re spread across the Prologue and Chapters 1 through 5. Collect all 14 to unlock the Collector trophy.
Twelve are Dr. Loomis logs; the other three are recordings from Sheriff Brackett, Laurie, and Nurse Chambers. The numbering doesn’t match chapter order, so the table below follows the order you’ll actually walk into them — don’t hunt by number.
| Chapter | What to find |
|---|---|
| Prologue — Escape From Smith’s Grove | Loomis Log #2, Loomis Log #4 |
| Chapter 1 — The Road to Haddonfield | Loomis Log #6, Loomis Log #8 |
| Chapter 2 — Main Street | Loomis Log #9, Loomis Log #3 |
| Chapter 3 — Returning Home | Loomis Log #1, Loomis Log #5 |
| Chapter 4 — The Babysitters | Loomis Log #7, Loomis Log #10, Sheriff Brackett’s Recording |
| Chapter 5 — Into the Shadows | Loomis Log #11, Laurie’s Recording, Nurse Chambers’s Recording |
Every location, room first then furniture
- Loomis Log #2 — In the Prologue, before you escape, turn around and go into the courtyard. It’s on a trash can in the back-left corner.
- Loomis Log #4 — When the Prologue sends you to lower the gate, go left. On the shelf of the small shelter just past the light, above a trash can.
- Loomis Log #6 — Chapter 1, inside the dive bar. Head to the restrooms at the back and open the left door; it’s on the dresser.
- Loomis Log #8 — Chapter 1, when the optional “explore the area” objective appears, open the garage and go through to the mechanic’s office. It’s on the desk.
- Loomis Log #9 — Chapter 2, the back of the A-Side Music Store, where Tanya is.
- Loomis Log #3 — Chapter 2, the house directly north of the cemetery. The log sits on the living-room fireplace.
- Loomis Log #5 — Chapter 3, after you kill the intruder, head southeast to the house with the yellow van outside. It’s on the desk in the bedroom opposite the dining room.
- Loomis Log #1 — Chapter 3, the house to the left of Marcus’s. Walk to the back of the house; it’s on a cabinet in the hallway.
- Loomis Log #10 — Chapter 4, the house opposite the Wallace House. It is on that house’s living-room fireplace.
- Loomis Log #7 — Chapter 4, once you’re told to kill Annie, go to the outhouse in the south and into the laundry room. It’s on top of the machine.
- Sheriff Brackett’s Recording — Chapter 4, the house to the right of the one holding Loomis Log #10. Enter through the front door, turn right, and it’s on the dining table.
- Laurie’s Recording — Chapter 5, the house you start in. On the ground floor in the dining room, on the small table by the lamp.
- Loomis Log #11 — Chapter 5, back at the Wallace House in the south. Enter the bedroom where you placed Annie; it’s in the corner on the right.
- Nurse Chambers’s Recording — Chapter 5, the house east of the sports field in the northeast. In the living room, on the unit opposite the fireplace.

Official gameplay still: recordings are hidden inside Haddonfield houses, so you have to search room by room.
Why you shouldn’t save these for later
None of the locations are nasty. What hurts is coming back. The Prologue and Chapter 1 have no mini-map, so you’re navigating by fixed furniture — trash cans, shelters, fireplaces, desks. Re-walking a finished chapter later costs far more than a ten-second detour now. The mini-map opens up from Chapter 2, so from there you can sweep rooms as you push the objective.
So the rule is simple: memorize the two or three spots in a chapter when you enter it, then grab them on the way through.
Practical tips
- On a Prologue replay, circle the courtyard before you escape — that’s the easiest pair to miss.
- From Chapter 2 on, use the mini-map plus fixed furniture to identify rooms instead of blindly following the HUD arrow.
- To mop up, replay the specific chapter rather than restarting the story.
- After all 14, check the Collector trophy. If it doesn’t pop, re-check the Prologue pair and the three in Chapter 4.
- Challenges and collectibles can be done in the same pass, but don’t skip a recording for a no-alert challenge — a replay costs more.
What players and reviewers say
The top comments under DanQ8000’s full walkthrough are all about progression: one player asks why they can’t move past Chapter 3, and the creator replies that it’s a bug from that build — you can progress, but challenge completion isn’t saved, and he hit it himself in Chapter 4. Another player reports Chapter 1 replaying its cutscene after finishing. This cluster shows up in Steam reviews too, where “challenges not counting” is one of the most common complaints.
IGN’s collectibles page carries the same caveat: content may change during Advanced Access. In other words, the locations themselves are stable, but progression saving and trophy tracking are worth re-checking after the next patch.
