The one-minute version

It’s out.

The digital release shipped on 2026-09-08, on Windows PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Digital Deluxe early access started earlier, at 2026-09-04 09:00 PT.

One date is easy to miss: physical editions shipped on 2026-10-06, in a Physical Standard Edition and a Limited Collector’s Edition, on PS5 and Xbox Series X only.

So “is it out” now has the same answer both ways: the digital version and the physical editions are all out. Physical pricing and contents are in Price and editions.

Early Access is not a second release date

Two things get tangled here, so separate them.

Early Access is a Digital Deluxe entitlement to get in early. It doesn’t move the release date to September 4.

Likewise, the physical release on October 6 isn’t a “second launch” — it’s the same game arriving on disc.

Regional stores may display dates in local time. Whether you can install and launch comes down to the product page you see while signed in.

Where the launch actually stands

The developers reported over one million players on 2026-09-12 (the site dates it 09-13), up from 500,000 on 09-08.

That number counts every player who has entered across all platforms. It is not a concurrent player count.

Stability is the main story of this phase. Two patches have shipped since the September 4 early access start, and on September 17 the developers acknowledged crashes that are still unfixed: Loomis reinforcements entering, the end of single-player chapters (Prologue and Chapter 3 results screens), and several scenarios on Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Series S performance and memory crashes were addressed once in 1.0.2, with more work promised.

The full patch timeline is in Update log and known issues.

Check your own platform

  1. Sign in on the target platform and open the full product page, not an upgrade pack or a search snippet.
  2. Confirm the platform edition. On PC check Steam and Epic separately; on console confirm PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
  3. If you want a physical copy, verify the date, platform and stock. It’s roughly a month behind digital and doesn’t grant early access.
  4. Prices, promotions, languages, age ratings and regional availability all move. Your signed-in store page is the source of truth.

Limits

The developers haven’t published concurrent player numbers, regional sales splits or a patch schedule. The cumulative player figure comes from an official post and shouldn’t be read as an activity metric.
