Halloween: The Game Prestige Rewards: What You Actually Get
Four tracks can Prestige, Profile every 100 levels with a random challenge attached. Rewards are cosmetic, and 1.0.2 re-enabled the whole system.

The one-minute version
Four tracks can Prestige: Profile (overall level), Killer (Michael), each Civilian character, and each Weapon. The official wording is that maxing any track lets you Prestige for extra rewards.
Profile is gated at every 100 levels, and Prestiging requires completing a Prestige challenge first.
Challenges are randomly assigned. JEV got “complete multiple Bloodthirsty axe executions”; he’s seen other players asked to “blind Michael 40 times with a Civilian flashlight”. So someone Prestiging faster than you is often just holding an easier task, not playing more efficiently.
Most rewards are cosmetic. JEV shows the Clown Michael unlock from a Profile Prestige, has picked up Scorched Michael, and says he’s still working toward Stitched. Weapon tracks cap at level 5, but he saw no reward prompt at all when Prestiging a weapon.
How each track levels
- Profile Level takes XP from everything, regardless of role or mode. It’s the clearest Prestige gate.
- Killer Level builds from playing Michael and unlocks abilities and executions.
- Civilian Level is per character — whoever you play is the one that moves.
- Weapon Level is per weapon — whichever weapon lands the kill advances.
The developers also confirmed that ordinary leveling unlocks additional Civilians, new Michael abilities, Civilian starting items, cosmetics, and higher tiers of challenges and executions. Prestige is the long tail after maxing out, not a shortcut past anything.
The change you need to know first
If you saw “Prestige did nothing” or “the Prestige button doesn’t work” before September 12, that was the build, not you.
Patch 1.0.2 re-enabled Prestige challenges and fixed a bug where an active Prestige challenge blocked you from entering matchmaking. The developers also noted that shortly after 1.0.2, weapon Prestige challenge criteria showed up with no text — restarting the client restores them.
One more thing to know up front. several Progressive challenges are still being fixed. The September 17 post names four: Thomas - Linebacker, Rachel - Superstitious Tools. Plus Alexis - Craftswoman and Laurie - Quick Thinking.
So if your Prestige or character challenge is stuck on one of those four, it probably isn’t you. The developers also admitted weapon progressive challenges fail to say that the matching weapon is required.
Order of operations: fully restart the client, check whether your stuck challenge is on that list, and only then decide whether to keep grinding.
Why it shouldn’t be a priority
If your goal is “can I win the next match”, Prestige does essentially nothing. The official framing is a showcase system, and what players actually receive is cosmetic — colours, make-up, glasses, hairstyles — plus a small badge on the character select screen.
What changes a match is Perk Cards, character abilities and weapon levels. None of those require Prestiging.
So a better order is this. Put Perk Points into a working Civilian deck, and get a weapon to where it feels right. Then decide whether Prestige is worth it for the look. If you’re collecting cosmetics anyway, it’s a pure long-term goal — take your time.

Before you Prestige
- Confirm which track is about to cap. Profile is overall level, Killer is Michael, Civilian is per character, Weapon is per weapon.
- Read your current Prestige challenge first. They’re randomly assigned and may need a specific execution type or several matches, so knowing ahead saves dead matches.
- Profile Prestiges once per 100 levels, so block out continuous play to finish the challenge instead of stalling halfway.
- After Prestiging, check the character customisation screen for unlocks and see whether the character select badge updated.
- If you only want cosmetics, focus on the character you actually play instead of splitting effort across all four tracks.
What players and reviewers say
JEV’s video has close to 400,000 views and the top comments mostly tease him for enjoying everything he plays, with one saying “bro is slowly convincing me to play this game”.
The most useful comment is about the game itself. The state isn’t perfect, but proximity voice chat plus players committing to the bit as residents makes it funny even with bugs. Both sides get a good experience. That explains why cosmetic and Prestige goals still find an audience.
Reddit’s r/TheHalloweenGame is far less warm. One thread asks what Prestige actually gives and finds the reward screen empty; replies confirm the rewards are locked cosmetics — colours, make-up, glasses. Someone adds “I Prestiged Laurie and only got colour variants of default outfits, didn’t notice anything else”, followed immediately by “that’s pretty disappointing”.
So the position is this. rewards are confirmed to exist, but they’re widely felt to be underwhelming. During early access the Prestige challenges were suspected of being bugged and were fixed later. According to JEV, the developers called it a glitch at the time.
Limits
The official page confirms that Prestige exists and gives extra rewards. It does not publish a full reward list, what each Prestige level grants, or what weapon Prestige gives. Reward details in videos and Reddit threads are player observations and may shift between patches. This page won’t invent a Prestige cap or item names.
