The one-minute version

Split the decision into digital and physical and it stops being confusing.

Digital shipped on 2026-09-08. On Steam in the US it’s US$39.99 for the Standard Edition and US$59.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Both were re-checked for this page and neither was discounted.

Physical arrives 2026-10-06, in a Standard Edition and a Limited Collector’s Edition.

Prices move with region, tax and promotions, so treat these as a US snapshot rather than one global retail price.

The two physical editions

EditionPrice (US)ReleasePlatforms
Physical Standard EditionUS$39.992026-10-06PS5, Xbox Series X
Limited Collector’s EditionUS$149.992026-10-06PS5, Xbox Series X

The Physical Standard Edition includes the base game, a Michael Myers Clown Skin (Advance Access), 2 Civilian cosmetics (Advance Access) and an exclusive poster.

The Limited Collector’s Edition, which the developers describe as limited quantities, adds a Michael Myers Samhain Skin (Advance Access), 4 more Civilian cosmetics, a Shape Jump variant action figure, exclusive lenticular art, and what the post calls “more surprises”.

The developers also confirmed the game is on the disc in the physical editions, not just a download code.

What “Advance Access” means

This is the easiest part of the Collector’s Edition to misread.

The official FAQ explains that Advance Access means buying a physical edition unlocks those cosmetics immediately. They can also be obtained by completing in-game challenges.

So they aren’t physical-exclusive — you’re skipping the unlock.

Keep this separate too: the Phantom Michael Myers Skin is a digital pre-order exclusive, and it isn’t part of the physical Advance Access set.

Which digital edition to buy

The Deluxe Edition’s main difference is early access, which started at 2026-09-04 09:00 PT, plus additional digital content.

If you just want 1v4 and the single-player story, the Standard Edition already includes the base game. There’s no need to upgrade for the core experience.

Three things to check before buying:

  1. Confirm you’re buying the full game, not a standalone Deluxe Upgrade or a cosmetic pack.
  2. Compare your region’s currency, tax, refund terms and physical stock.
  3. If you want physical, note the date gap. It’s roughly a month behind digital, and physical pre-orders don’t grant early access.

What’s still unpublished

The “more surprises” in the physical editions aren’t itemised, and per-region physical allocations aren’t published.

Whether the game comes to Game Pass, and whether cross-store purchases or cross-progression exist, also have no official statement.

The Collector’s Edition is limited, so go by your local retailer’s page.

Limits

Digital pricing comes from the official Steam store page, and no discount was applied when this page was written. Prices change, so confirm on your own signed-in store page before ordering.
